📁 Using file sharing

With the file sharing service you can share files securely by setting a download limit and an expiration time if needed.

1. Choose a file

Start by selecting a file from your device that you want to share with the recipient.

2. Set restrictions (optional)

You can improve the security of the share by setting limits to it:

  • Download limit: Determine how many times the file can be downloaded before the link stops working.
  • Expiration time: Set a time limit after which the file can no longer be downloaded.

3. Create and share the link

Create a share link and copy it for yourself. You can forward the link via email or instant messenger, for example.

Privacy

Uploaded files are stored temporarily on the server until they expire or the download limit is reached. Files are not encrypted on the server unless browser-side encryption is enabled.
